How AI-Driven Audio Tools Are Revolutionizing Real Estate Learning

Are You Getting the Most Out of Your Audiobooks?

Do you ever finish an audiobook and realize you can’t remember the key takeaways the next day? Or maybe you get a burst of inspiration while driving or working out, but have no way to capture that breakthrough moment?

Introducing Pocket: The Game-Changer for Learning and Productivity

Pocket is an AI-powered listening device designed to capture your thoughts, ideas, and any audio—whether it’s a meeting, phone call, or audiobook. But it does more than just record: it transcribes, summarizes, identifies action items, schedules reminders, and even creates mind maps from your audio content.

My Experience: Turning Passive Listening into Action

I bit the bullet on this two weeks ago and it arrived this week. I started playing with it to discover the best ways to use it. I wanted to capture insights from Phil M Jones’s “How to Persuade and Get Paid” Audible seminar.

I had heard Phil Jones give a presentation at the MAR conference in Springfield in October last year. I liked his presentation so much that I bought his book, “Exactly What to Say” while I was sitting in the presentation.

I found his approach fascinating.

Anyway, I had some extra credits on Audible and this audio program came up as a suggestion and, having seen him present and after reading his book, it was a no-brainer.

I loved the seminar.

The challenge was that I knew I would have to re-listen to it intentionally and take notes to get the most from it. Pocket changed that for me. Instead of just listening, it:

  • Created notes and outlines from the audio

  • Generated actionable next steps

  • Built mind maps for deeper understanding

  • Synced reminders directly to my iPhone

The result? Within seconds, Pocket delivered a full summary, clear outline, actionable vectors, and even exportable material I could use with other AI tools to deepen my learning.

🤯

This was much better than what I had been doing. Specifically, taking screen captures so I would have the chapter and time of something I wanted to review in order to take notes later… and texting those screen shots to myself (seriously).

To the right, a highlighted section titled "Actionable Vectors" lists three key strategies: auditing digital touchpoints to reflect future business goals, gathering 1-3 specific facts for pre-call intelligence, and defining specific customer counts and types rather than seeking "more" customers.

For me, this is a game changer. I have defaulted to print books because I like to highlight them, write notes in them, and generally interact with the book.

Now? I can listen to audio books on a faster speed, have the AI capture it all, provide a summary, denote the important points, add items to my Reminders and ask it to annotate the Reminder with detailed steps and deadlines.

And, through its built-in AI, I can interact with the book’s material and dive in deeper, run through scenarios, and build out action plans to put what I’ve learned into action.

I can even interact with multiple books simultaneously by exporting them to my AI of choice and asking the AI to consider both books and how to implement ideas or compare/contrast the information… or compare it to other similar books… or take the concepts in the books and compare it to my website, social media, or other source and provide an implementation plan complete with action items, mind map, timeline, etc.

I’m sure I could also build an AI bot to execute the ideas FOR ME. There are just so many avenues to take this.

And this is just stuff that hit me today. I haven’t invested deep thought into the ways I can use this to improve exponentially more in a short period of time.

Why This Matters for Agents (and Everyone Else)

With tools like Pocket, you can:

  • Interact with your audio content—ask questions, extract key takeaways, or request detailed examples

  • Move beyond passive listening and actually implement what you learn

  • Combine insights from multiple books or sources to create custom action plans

  • Save time and accelerate your growth with AI-powered summaries and reminders

Embrace Change, Accelerate Growth

The real estate industry—and every industry—is changing fast. Adopting tools like Pocket isn’t just about keeping up; it’s about gaining an edge. Growth comes from leveraging new tech to serve your clients and business at the highest level. The tools to improve have never been more powerful or accessible.

It doesn’t mean all change is good. And it doesn’t mean all clients are served by the pace of change. You have to assess where you are, where your business is, and if you’re serving your clients at the highest level possible based on THEIR needs.

The Bottom Line

The future belongs to those who embrace change and turn learning into action. If you’re ready to level up your skills, it might be time to put AI-powered audio tools like Pocket to work for you.
